Cantilever arms are suspended out from the structure of the upright, so needs to be made of much stronger material. This allows product to be accessed from the side a great advantage over standard racking.
This will depend on what you are storing. Product such as thin timber may sag in the middle if the rack width is too long, potentially damaging the product. Product such as steel rods are less likely to sag.
