Drive In Storage Rack allows a forlift to drive into the rack from one side to pick up or unload pallets. The only limitation to the depth of storage is the size of the facility. Drive In is a last in, first out (LIFO) method of storage.
Drive Thru rack allows the lift truck to enter from either side to load or pick up pallets. It offers slightly less dense storage because it requires more aisles, but because Drive Thru is open at both ends, it's a first in, first out(FIFO) method of storage ideal for for products with expiration dates.
Drive In and Drive Thru pallet racks are adaptable to both FIFO (First In, First Out) and LIFO (Last In, First Out) storage systems. These racking systems are great for storing large quantities of like, or relatively few, product types and can reduce square footage requirements by 35% or more compared to selective rack. Drive In and drive thru racks are ideal for saving space in expensive cooler and freezer applications, or anywhere that space is at a premium.
