Brief introdution of selective pallet racking
The pallet racking is a kind of storage rack, which belongs to the heavy duty rack. In fact, the selective pallet racking is referred to as the selection rack, the position type rack, the pallet type rack and so on. We can see that the range of application of storage shelves is very wide, including electronics, home appliances, communications, computers, meters, furniture, clothing, automobiles, tires, supermarket stores and other industries.
Some rack types include selective pallet racks. This is the most commonly used pallet rack, with low density but high selectivity (accessibility of each item). In addition, we also have double deep pallet racks, which have a back to back structure to achieve higher storage density and use less forklift aisles. Another design is a push back pallet rack, which uses gravity flow and inclined guide rails to make pallet placement and retrieval easy.
Pallet racking is the most widely used type of racking in warehouses. Generally used for goods to be placed directly on the pallet, using forklifts (ASRS, electric pallet trucks and other equipment) to stack on the beam or directly on the shelf; support beams and layers can also be added to store the goods. It is suitable for the load capacity range of 1000 to 5000kg per layer.
In racking industries, normally racking classification can be divided into: selective shelf, rail shelf, deep shelf, press in shelf, drive in shelf, shuttle shelf, cantilever shelf, gravity shelf, etc.
Managers need to comprehensively consider the warehouse area, storage capacity, weight of the goods, characteristics, access methods and other conditions, and then select the shelf form that meets their own needs.
