Drive in and drive through rack allows the forklift to enter the rack from one side to pick up or pull out pallets. This is done because the pallet can slide backwards on continuous rails. The forklift drives into the rack to contact two or more deep pallets. The size of the facility limits the storage depth of a particular bay. Due to the way of use, this kind of racks are usually more abused than selective racks, so the integrity and strength of the rack are important factors. It is the ideal rack for cold storage or freezing applications.
Seen from long term, the drive in the rack system provide a low cost solution for companies with high density storage needs. It involves forklifts entering the rack from one side to load or retrieve pallets. Each drive channel should have the same SKU or pallet type and be a first in first out system.
LIFO (last in, first out) or FIFO (first in, first out) load methods.
Deep lane storage reduces space usage, cuts costs and holds more loads.
Multiple access aisles eliminated.
Extra control over inputs and outputs.
More storage density instead of the direct access of Pallet Racks.
Specifically designed for your pallets and forklifts.
